ABOUT

The Gauteng Bridge Union was created with the aim of furthering and promoting the game of Contract Bridge within Gauteng. Comprised of Member Clubs around the province, the GBU organises, manages and controls all forms of Contract Bridge competitions run by the union in accordance with the current versions of the Laws of Duplicate Bridge. 

 

Setting a high standard for the game in South Africa, the GBU has over 17 active member clubs in the Gauteng region, and is affiliated with the South African Bridge Federation which organises Contract Bridge throughout the country.

With a member-appointed committee, the GBU strives to promote, encourage and support both individual and club members, while introducing and liaising with unaffiliated clubs and players locally, nationally and internationally.
